On the Agenda -- March 23 - 29

There are a lot of projects I want to complete this week to add to my inventory.

Jewelry-wise, I have two or three chainmail earring patterns that I have designed that I want to put into use. It will take me some time to add all the seed beads to the rings, so I'm not entirely sure if I will get them done this week, but I will do as much as I can on them. With four kids, I have to pick and choose projects that I can either complete in a small amount or time, or choose projects that I can put down and pick back up a lot without having to put it all away each time. Chainmailing doesn't work that way.

Crochet-wise, I want to finish up all my cotton yarn by turning them into coasters. I only have one color in any quantity large enough to make washcloths, so I'll work on those when I can, but I really want to finish up the smaller bits first so I can clean out my yarn bin on my side table.

I also want to use up some of my odds and ends to make some drink cozies, shell stitched hats for babies, and maybe make some granny squares for future projects. I always keep small granny squares stashed away to stitch together eventually.

What I Made This Week -- March 16 - March 22

I managed to get a few longer projects done this week. Three scarves were completed, and several coaster sets. They still need their ends woven in and ironing and all that, but otherwise, they are done.

Sorry my photos aren't the greatest. There aren't many places inside that I can take pictures to start with, much less good pictures.  The colors are a little off on the bright aqua coasters and the Spring Fling Scarf.  I'm still learning.

I'm still working on the Triangle Brown Shawl with Golden Flecks, but I'm having to take breaks on it because, eventually, the stitches blur right in the yarn color and I can't see anything.  LOL

I started two new projects this week.  Well, started one, found another--but I have made great progress on both pieces.

First up is the Spring Fling Scarf:

The colors are a bit more pastel than they are appearing in the photo.  My photo editing skills leave a lot to be desired, so I just left it as is so as to not destroy the original.  It has all the spring colors, though.  Almost Easter-like.  Pastel purple, bright yellow, soft pink, some white, a soft blue.  I love it.

Next up is the Passionate Pink Scarf:

The camera captured this color almost spot-on.  It's definitely a sharp dark pink.  It's crocheted in a shell pattern that I'm not entirely sure where I got it as I started this scarf back when I was pregnant with Ian and finished the first skein of it in the hospital.  I memorized the pattern, so I have no print-out of it, so I really don't know where I got the pattern from.

Those are my two new projects for the week.  What is on your needles/hooks?

What I Made This Week -- March 2 - 8

I actually didn't crochet much this week.  I spent most of it cleaning up little organizational messes that have been piling up since we moved here.  I had access to everything, but it was literally piled up wherever I could find a spot that would hold it.  And only about half of it had been photographed.  So I was working on that this week.

It's still in a few piles here and there, but it has been packaged and labeled so that I do at least know what is in each box.  I have pictures of all the items, but I think I may have to retake some of them because the lighting was really bad on some of them.  And I have a running inventory that is completely current and actually typed up for a change.

I've joined the 21st century on databases!  Yay!
