She's Here!!

Anna Grace arrived on March 27, 2009 at 4:55 PM. She weighed in at 7 lbs and 8 oz, and she was 20 inches long. I've attached a short video that my husband took of her at the hospital while I was resting.

Quick Update!

Sorry it has been so long since I have gotten in here and written. It's been very overwhelming here on my end of the world. Baby girl is due to arrive tomorrow, and we are beginning to think she'll actually be here then. I'm at home dealing with my nausea issues again, but I'm also timing and counting contractions. We really are hoping that she will be here within the next couple of days. My husband is so excited that he's practically beside himself.

We've almost gotten the baby's room ready, but we still have more time. She won't be sleeping in there for a while because that room doesn't have heat at the moment. She'll be camping out in a bassinet in our room for a while anyway until we can get into a routine with her of some sorts.

Just wanted to drop in real quick and let everyone know what is going on. I've been working some on my craft room, but I am having to be really careful since I am about to pop out a kid. It'll get done more quickly once I am home with her.

I will stop in again soon, hopefully with baby pictures. :o)

The Long-Awaited Craft Room Layout

Finally! I found fifteen minutes to draw this up for everyone in Paint. It's been drawn up in my notebook for about a week now. It may change a little, and some pieces won't be added until later when we have some extra cash. I have the basic necessities for the time being though, so as soon as my husband gets a few minutes to clear out the room and paint it for me, we'll be able to put the shelves up on the wall, move the tables and cabinets back in, and hopefully get the room functional.

The white board won't be able to be added until later, and the inventory cabinets I want to use are a little above our budget right now, so I'll have to make do with two small bookcases until we can afford the new cabinets. The 3-drawer storage cabinets that will be under the tables will have to wait til sometime this summer. Our Walmart does not carry them during the winter apparently. I do not know why. It quite dumbfounded me when I asked where they were and was told that.

At least, once this room is finally set up, I'll be able to get my sewing machine out permanently, my cutting board will be able to come out of it's storage permanently, as will my mat. And all my tubs of fabric, yarn, etc will have their own safe places to be used. I can't wait!! :o)
