My name is Jessica Cauthon. I am a stay-at-home mom to four children, Anna, Sammy, Seth, and Ian. My husband is a former marine, and currently works as a mechanical engineer at a local manufacturing plant. We are also "parents" to a seven cats named Rast, Cami, Felicity, Patches, Stripes, Dusty, and Ginger.
I opened The Chickadee Tree and this blog mostly as a means to retain my sanity while spending most of my days with my daughter, and now, my three sons. I started off with selling only chainmaille and wire-wrapped pieces of jewelry, but since this was not the only craft I did to wile away the hours while my children were napping, I tended to only make jewelry in spurts, then quit for a while to chase some other crafting skill (knitting, crocheting, bookbinding, scrapbooking, sewing, quilting, etc.) Since I continually did this even when I tried very hard to focus only on my jewelry, I decided to expand The Chickadee Tree to include every craft that I spent time on. So not only do I sell jewelry now, but I sell hats, scarves, stuffed toys, and more.
All items are available in my shop at Artfire. I restock items at least four times a week (more or less, depending on how many new things I have made and managed to get good photographs of). I do giveaways on occasion.
If you have any questions or simply just want to chat with me, feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org, or you can hop over to my Facebook Page and drop a comment on my wall. I'm always available.
